Reading Club offers support for students who are struggling with reading.
Schools will be closed for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year in order to slow the spread of COVID-19 Coronavirus. During this closure, all schools in the ISD will remain closed. The District’s Remote Learning At Home Learning Plan was designed for the possibility of extended closure and remains in effect until the end of the school year.
Reading Club is sending out weekly newsletters with updates, parent tips and resources. You can also access them here on our website under the Reading Club Newsletters tab. In addition, we have also begun sending home reading assignments through your child’s Seesaw account every Tuesday. It is our hope and expectation that your child will continue to work on Lexia Core5 daily. As your child progresses through Lexia levels, we will send certificates earned and Lexia Skill Builders to review literacy skills learned in the level just completed. Lexia Lessons will be sent home if your child is struggling in a particular skill area and would benefit from a specific mini-lesson.
We deeply appreciate all of the home support that you are providing your child during this unprecedented time. Stay healthy and safe!
