Learning strategies:  Students are setting weekly goals and reflecting about what they have learned in class. The focus this week is working in groups and applying the skills to preferred activities and non-preferred activities. This includes practicing how to be perceived as friendly, cooperative, and approachable, applying the basic rules for group work, how to stay connected with the group, how to work effectively with others, and how to give/receive suggestions while in a group. On Friday students will reflect on the goal he/she set for the week and have an individual conference with the teacher to review his/her goal, grades, and missing work. There will also be a mini lesson on appreciating thoughtful gifts and how to find the positive in everything! Regular executive functioning lesson will resume the next full week of school.
