The following information was sent to me via the Eastside Baby Corner as a resource:

The CARES Act has established a $350B fund to help small businesses (including nonprofits) keep workers on the payroll. You can receive up to 2.5 times your monthly payroll averaged over the past 12 months, and the loan is fully forgivable (you don’t have to pay it back) if you keep your staff on payroll.

Information is attached and can also be found at https://www.sba.gov/funding-programs/loans/paycheck-protection-program-ppp

Three things to do now:

1.       Download the sample application form here and begin collecting all the necessary information.

2.       Check with your financial institution to see if they are participating in this program.

3.       Apply quickly as funds are limited (starting 4/3).

The National Partnership for New Americans hosted a webinar on this yesterday. A recording can be found here (content starts about 24:00), and the slide deck is here (content starts at slide 19).
If you cannot wait for the PPP, $10B has been set aside for emergency loans that are said to have a 3 day turnaround time.
