February came and went quickly with kindness week, Valentine’s Day, mid-winter break and many other activities.  Here’s our update from the music room:

5th Grade – Fifth graders finally had their performance of the musical, “Wright”.  They did such a great job of staying ready despite having to reschedule several times.  Parents, students and staff all enjoyed their re-telling in rap of the story of the Wright brothers’ first flight. February also brought the beginning of our Dancing Classrooms program.  Our instructor, Ms. Cam, comes in and teaches us many styles of ballroom dance.  We are getting used to the moves and some of us are even beginning to like it.

4th Grade – Our recorder unit is in full swing.  Students are really getting into the Recorder Karate program and are excited about earning belts.   We also began preparing for our concert.  Our concert will include the playing of our recorder karate songs as well as some songs from around the world.
