Happy Fall to All!

It's hard to believe it is October already!  Leaves are changing and falling from the trees.  The weather is turning and the rain is beginning.  We've had a great start to our year here in music!  And there is so much more to come!

5th Grade - We spent September learning the routines and rhythms of the music room.  We also reviewed rhythms we have learned in elementary school and practiced drumming those rhythms.  We are beginning to practice the songs for our upcoming Veterans Day Assemblies (more info to come soon).  We’ve also begun to learn some of the songs for our 5th Grade Music Program “Wright”.  It is the story of the Wright Brothers first flight told in rap and song.  Auditions for featured parts for this show will be held in the music room on Wednesday, October 29th.  Be watching for more information coming home in the next week.  Our 5th grade music program will be held on Thursday, January 23rd at 6:30pm in the MPR.
