Book Returns & Renewals! September 25th-October 1stStudents always, always check outat least one book at their libraryvisit! The checkout period is two weeksbut they are welcome to bring in theirbook to renew it for as long as theyare reading the book. Generally, students can check out the same numberof books as the number of their grade. Forexample, 2nd Grade can check out 2 booksand 5th grade can check out 5 books. Theexception is if the student has an over-due book which limits them to onebook only. If a student has an overduebook, we talk about it in the library andwill bring home an overdue note to remind them to look for their bookat home. If a book remains missing fora month or more, I try to call homeor send parents an email so theycan assist their student in finding their book. If a book actually is lostor destroyed, the overdue remindernote will let you know how the title orcost to replace. Plus, the noteserves as a reminder for me to double-check the library as well!
