Welcome!

Welcome to 6th grade!  I teach PE, language arts, and social studies - Ancient World History.  I'm looking forward to a great year and getting to know each and every student.  If you ever have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.  Email is the best way.  For content, please go to your students' sub site.

FYI

Trimester 3 is ending soon!  Last day to submit work is 6/19.  Check out your students grades.  Your student should be reading for at least 30-40 minutes a day or 200 minutes for the week.  Assignments are posted daily on the Connect calendar or in Microsoft Teams.

Assignments in Progress

  • Weekly and Trimester reading logs are due on Tuesday, 6/9.

Scholastic Book Order/Grade Changes/Reminders

  • Book Orders are completely OPTIONAL.  Books orders are closed for the year.  Thank you for your supporting your child's reading.
  • Revisions: Students can always go back and correct/finish assignments that were turned in on time.
  • Each night students should be reading at least 20 minutes, and a minimum of 200 minutes for the week.  Students keep track of their reading on their OneNote notebook in Teams.
  • The website is public for all viewers.  You do not need to ask permission to join the group.  The button is there at all times and I can not take it off my website.
  • Grades: Check Family Access for up to date grades.
  • Office 365, login is same as school computers with ending @issaquah.wednet.edu  password is same as school computer
  • Social Studies Online Textbook: login through Classlink - students have done this in class.
  • Scope Magazine - Password: comfort1920
Class News and Notes

All students have access to the social studies textbooks through classlink.  Login for classlink is the same as their login on a school computer.

If your student turned something in on time, they can go back and edit or correct their work to make up 1/2 the points they missed out on.  If a student got 14 on their assignment and edited it, they would then get 17 points because they missed 6 points but made up 1/2 of the 6 points.

If the student turned in the assignment late, highest possible grade is grade level and can not revise
