Week 9 – Current Lumber Mill
This is the last week you will receive a lesson from me.
I sure have missed seeing all of you and I hope you have an enjoyable summer.
To my 8th graders, best wishes to you as you head on to 9th grade.
Last week you watched a video that gave you a little lesson on logging back in the early 1900’s.
This week’s video takes you to a more current lumber mill.
If you are missing any assignments, this video will count for one of them.
If you don’t have any missing assignments, then you can just enjoy this video and you don’t have to tell me anything. I’ll be posting my grades this weekend, so you have until Friday to turn in any assignments. To receive credit for any missing assignment, all you have to do is email me and tell me you watched the Lumber Mill video. I’ll give you credit for any missing assignment. You don’t have to tell me which one. I’ll figure it out.
The grading for Woodshop this Trimester is a Pass (P) or Incomplete (I).
As long as you have turned in at least three assignments, you will receive a pass.
I know that might seem overly generous, but that is the percentage we have been told to use for electives. It’s actually fine with me because I’ve wanted my assignments to just be something that brought a little enjoyment and learning into your weeks. That’s the same goal I have for my class when you actually get to be in the real Woodshop.

Hope to see you all sometime soon.
