Hello! My name is Leena Chavda. I am the new LRC1 teacher here at Sunny Hills.  I have been working at Sunny Hills as a paraprofessional for the last six years. I spent a big chunk of those six years in the LRC 1 classroom working with Sue Schoot and last year completed my student teaching under her guidance. It is pretty likely that you and your student have seen me around the campus!

I have always been very passionate about teaching special education and am very excited to begin this year with the new role. I am sure you and your student are  excited to start the new year as well.

As the 2018-2019 school year begins, I understand that for some students this season can bring anxiety and stress of being in a new classroom, with new friends, and with a new teacher. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you and your student ease into the new school year.

Curriculum night is September 12th .  Please stop by the classroom and introduce yourself! If you are unable to make it to this event or would like a longer time to meet, please don’t hesitate to contact me and we can set up a new time!

I am looking forward to working with both you and your student. Being a parent myself, I understand the value of a parent-teacher partnership. I am excited to join the team and have a great school year!
