-Writing: Practicing informational writing skills by creating a brochure. Most students picked a location they know a lot about and are making a "travel brochure" about it. Some students picked another topic they know a lot about and are just writing it in the brochure format.
-Reading: Comprehension of non-fiction texts; using visualization to help aid comprehension; reading a text closely.
-Social Studies: Wrapping up our unit learning about different regions of the United States: the West, Midwest, Southwest, Southeast, and Northeast. Students are reading books that teach about the history, people, animals, resources, and economy of a region.

Please help everyone stay healthy by following these tips from the King County Health Department. Please keep your child home if he/she is sick with cold or flu symptoms.
Students who have been sick need to be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school. The same 24-hour rule also applies to vomiting.
